The Regulated Software Application (RSA) was initially created over 15 years ago by
Community Blood Centers of Florida after established Blood Establishment Computer
Software (BECS) systems were found to be lacking in many aspects of functionality,
usability, and support. RSA is a series of web-based software applications which act
in tandem to encapsulate the data access and business rules necessary for enabling
blood collections, manufacturing, labeling, distribution management, and
administration efforts. The software was designed by experienced blood bankers, and
much of the original group is part of the ARC-One Solutions team.
Attaining FDA 510(k) clearance in 2012, RSA became a backbone of a newly formed
corporation, OneBlood, Inc. Our software allows OneBlood to deliver safe products to
hospitals and patients in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and The Carolinas, and provides
the ability to make strong, data driven business decisions. RSA is currently
maintained for use at OneBlood until the deployment of ARC-One’s fully redesigned,
state-of-the-art software suite is complete.
